In-Building Services for Ericsson

Challenge
LCC has an ongoing relationship with Ericsson, and was the logical choice for an in-building project in Naples, Florida, the Ritz Carlton Golf Resort.

LCC’s Broadband Wireless and In-Building Services was responsible for meeting Ericsson’s design and optimization requirements.

Scope of Work
LCC worked with the employees of the Ritz Carlton to make sure they not only understand what we were doing in detail, but also to ensure that they communicated any customer service issues so that LCC could accommodate them. For example, if the hotel had an event in the ballroom, LCC avoided core drilling during the event. In reality, throughout the process, LCC had at least three or four layers of customers. An additional client contact was Cingular, which was also kept abreast of issues.

Client Benefits
The Ritz now has eight different antennas that run throughout the building that are transparent to guests and workers. This network is unique because many of the rooms are on the ground level floor, which looks out into the golf course. People can now use cell phones on the ground level, in the basement, or wherever they need to be.
